Frank Noell Graves, Jr., 74, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at his home in Brodnax, VA. Frank was the former co-owner, with his brother, Bryan, of Cox Funeral Home, which later merged with H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., where he served as a funeral director until his retirement. Born in Lynchburg, VA, he was the son of the late Virginia Belle Hudson Graves and Frank N. Graves, Sr.

Frank was a proud graduate of Maury High School, Class of 1968 and Virginia Tech. He was a former longtime member of Epworth United Methodist Church and was a past president of The Wesleymen Bible Class.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Peggy Graves; his 2 sons, of whom he was very proud, Frank N. Graves III and his wife, Hilary, and her son, Jacob, and Scott T. Graves and his wife, Casey and his daughter, Emma; his brother, Bryan P. Graves and his wife, Pamela; and a multitude of wonderful friends who will miss him dearly.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Wayne Blythe at 11am on Monday, April 21st in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, VA. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk, 820 Colonial Ave., Norfolk, VA 23507.
