Glenda J. Hite

Glenda J. Hite, 69, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on Feb. 10, 2021. She was predeceased in death by her parents George W. Hite and Juneth M. Hite. She is survived by her cousins, Betty Hite, Joyce Edwards, Linda Salter, and her devoted friend and caretaker, Laverne Wanner. She received a BS degree in Elementary Education from Longwood College, a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she also pursued extensive Doctoral study. Glenda devoted her life to education, as a teacher, at Seven Pines Elementary and Moody Middle School for more than 30 years. Glenda was President of the Henrico Education Association for two years, and was an active member of the Virginia Education Association. Glenda will always be remembered as a kind, loving, and loyal friend. She will truly be missed. A special thanks to Blue Ridge Memory Care and Hospice of Virginia for the care they provided Glenda. In lieu of flowers, please consider a small donation to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Richmond SPCA. A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery on February 26, at 11 am.
