Louis Ray Jones

Louis Ray Jones, the President of Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Virginia Beach City Councilman and former mayor of the City of Virginia Beach passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 18, 2022.

He was the son of George Louis and Martha Rayburn Elizabeth Warbington Jones. He is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Ellen Martin Brown Jones, four children, twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, along with many extended relatives, colleagues and friends. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Shirleen Jones McCurry and Carolyn Jones Baswell, and a great-grandson, Henry Nichol Jones.

A public viewing will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022. His burial service will be private.
