Nasa Farrow Jennette, Jr.

Nasa F. Jennette Jr., also known as “N.F.”, passed away April 8, 2020. He was born on August 12, 1930 to Nasa F. Jennette Sr. and Ethel Scarborough Jennette in Buxton NC. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean war and a retired Tugboat Captain with Maritrans. N.F. was a loving husband and father. He loved fishing and sports, especially baseball and ACC basketball and being with family and friends.

Nasa was predeceased by his wife, Doris L. Jennette; a son, Matthew Jennette; granddaughter, Victoria Jennette; his sisters, Ruth Quidley, Muriel Fulcher, Hazel Whidbee, Lorena Hornbacher, Rachel Austin, Goldie Watson, Elizabeth Hooper, Geraldine Gaskins, Elena Gilikin and Deloris Lewis; and brothers, Calvin Jennette, Joe Jennette, Jackie Jennette and Boyd Jennette.

He is survived by his loving wife, Agnes Fulcher Jennette of the home; sons, Willard Grant Jennette and wife Linda of Virginia Beach, VA, Nasa F. Jennette lll (Buddy) of Buxton, and Timothy West Jennette and wife Cindy of Buxton; stepdaughters, Juanita Long and Lori Eanes and husband Jimmy; and stepson, Chris Williams. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ryan Jennette, Lauren Jennette, Desmond Brown, Jason Brown, Matthew Russo and Cami Slagle; one sister, Edith Jennette Bradley of Buxton; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held at a safer time in the near future. In the meantime, on-line messages, cards, and phone calls are most appreciated in lieu of visits with the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you honor NF with a donation in his memory to a worthy charity of your choice.
