Norma Watts Cash
Norma Watts Cash, 83, of Roanoke and formerly of Buchanan, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022.
She was the daughter of the late Louis N. Watts Sr. and Ida Minter Watts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. “Bob” Cash; daughter-in-law, Rita D. Cash; sisters, Dorothy Shafer and Joann Rhodes; and two brothers, Randolph Watts and L.N. Watts Jr.
Norma was a current member of Huntington Court United Methodist Church and a former member of High Bridge Presbyterian Church and Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Norma was a loving mother and grandmother and was known to be a quiet and humble Christian woman, who put others first.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, R.L. and Belinda Cash; daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine and Steven Cunningham and Jennifer and Aaron Williams; her grandchildren, Heather and Gunnar Vaughn, Callie Cash and Neal Mason, Miranda and Scott Thymius, and Sgt. Wyatt Williams, USMC; great-grandchildren, Sidney Vaughn, Caleb Cash, Atlas Ayers, Orlando Mason, Ace Mason and Rellian Mason, Nevaeh Thymius and Riley Thymius; sister-in-law, Sue Watts; canine companion, Bobbi; by nieces and nephews and their families; along with many wonderful and devoted friends, church friends, and special neighbors on Renfield Road.
The family would like to thank her physician for many years, Dr. Craig Mitchell and his staff. The family is also grateful for the love and care given at Friendship South,
Good Samaritan Hospice, and Rosa Baker in her final days.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Oakey’s North Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. on Friday at High Bridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Natural Bridge, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
