SWVFDA SPRING MEETING

Dear Valued Members of SWVFDA,

It was wonderful to see familiar faces and enjoy a time of fellowship together at the 2025 Christmas Party. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a success.

Our Spring Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. and will be held at the Damascus Old Mill Restaurant in Damascus, Virginia.

We are pleased to have Stephen Blevins as our presenter. He will be speaking on “Bariatric Preparedness and Embalming of Bariatric Cases” as well as “Crawl Before You Walk: A Back-to-Basics Look at Mortuary Cosmetics.”

Dinner will be provided by The Old Mill and will include:
• Trout and Wings
• Mashed Potatoes
• Green Beans
• Pasta Salad
• Peach Cobbler with Ice Cream for dessert

For those who hold a license, Mr. Blevins’ presentation is approved for 2 hours of CEU credit. The cost of attendance is $50.00 per person, which includes dinner and the educational program.

We encourage you to attend and to bring members of your staff as well. Your participation helps support the continued professional development of our funeral service community, including our students and apprentices.
