Frank Rosenacker
Mr. Frank Rosenacker is a fourth-generation funeral director/embalmer and serves as the Secretary of his family funeral home. He is also a practicing Attorney specializing in all areas of estate planning, probate, taxation, and corporate-business matters. He owns and operates Rosenacker and Associates, an international consulting firm dealing with funeral directors, funeral homes, cemeteries and crematories offering a wide range of services including legal representation.
Mr. Rosenacker has lectured extensively on the national, state and local levels. His topics include legal issues, succession planning, business plans and policy manuals, business appraisals and evaluations, sales of funeral businesses, regulatory laws regarding final disposition, taxes, cooperative efforts, cremation and funeral professional liability issues.

Sunday January 22, 2023
11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Registration, Commonwealth Ballroom
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Preneed – 1 Hour
Instructor will give perspectives on the value of preneed and its impact on funeral service. Learn the current laws regarding Trust and Insurance funding. Also, learn how the preneed base influences the value of your funeral business.
2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Ethics – 1 Hour
This segment will concentrate on the ethical and moral issues in funeral service. The audience will participate in the real-world case scenarios that the instructor has encountered in his consulting and legal practices.
3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Cooperative Efforts – 1 Hour
The focus of this segment is to enhance the funeral director’s knowledge of cooperative efforts and mergers, how and why they work, who should be your partner and the challenges facing funeral directors. The seminar will also give suggestions of what funeral directors can share cooperatively, practical how to’s and the legal considerations in developing cooperative efforts/mergers. Plus, we will discuss actual case scenarios of funeral directors who have started their own cooperatives or have merged with their colleagues.Â
4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Cremation Liability – 2 Hours
The cremation rate rises each year. Are funeral directors becoming a glorified disposal company or are they functioning as funeral directors with cremation just another form of disposition? Learn the difference while avoiding cremation liability issues. Also, Right of Disposition laws, rules and regulations are changing across country. The instructor will update all participants on these next of kin issues. Lastly, the instructor will provide real case scenarios that he is currently working on or has completed.
